Kyocera Cutting Inserts Series

- CBN inserts: the second hardest material, after diamond.

- Cermet inserts: Composite material that combines ceramic and metal

- CVD inserts: P provide stable and efficient cutting at high speeds

- PVD Inserts: Kyocera's PVD coated carbides for turning use very strong carbide substrates.

- PVD / CVD inserts: For milling and drilling they use very resistant carbide substrates.

- Carbide Inserts: Carbide is used in a variety of applications for non-ferrous materials and micrograin carbides for precision cutting.

- Ceramic inserts: Capable of operating at high speeds, thus reducing costly machining time.

- PCD inserts: Synthetic diamond sintered at high temperatures and pressures; ideal for non-ferrous and non-metal metals.

Product Info

- CBN inserts: the second hardest material, after diamond. CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) is a synthetically produced material with high conductivity that provides a stable cut.

- Cermet inserts: Cermet is a composite material that combines ceramic and metal. Typical materials used in cermets are TiC, TiN, TiCN, and NbC.

CVD inserts: Kyocera's CVD coated carbide grades are based on ceramic thin film technology and provide stable and efficient cutting at high speeds or heavily interrupted applications

- PVD Inserts: Kyocera's PVD coated carbides for turning use very strong carbide substrates. The low processing temperature, compared to CVD, leads to better strength.

- PVD / CVD Inserts: Kyocera's PVD coated carbides for milling and drilling use very strong carbide substrates. Low processing temperature, compared to CVD, leads to better flexural strength, less coating deterioration, and superior tool life with stable machining

- Carbide Inserts: Due to its superior mechanical characteristics, carbide is used in a variety of applications. Kyocera produces a variety of carbides, including KW10 for non-ferrous materials and micro-grain carbides for precision cutting.

- Ceramic inserts: Ceramic inserts are capable of operating at high speeds, thus reducing costly machining time. Hard turning of 38HRC hardened steel, or rough finish cast iron turning are recommended applications for ceramic inserts.

- PCD inserts: Kyocer'a diamond material is a synthetic diamond sintered at high temperatures and pressures. PCD (polycrystalline diamond) is ideal for non-ferrous metals and non-metals.
