MAJOR DREAM SLIM CHUCK - for Reduced Vibration

The MAJOR DREAM Slim Chuck system reduces and ultimately eliminates in-process vibraton. As an unfortunate part of the machining process, high vibration may compromise the accuracy and surface finish quality as well as the tool life. All of NIKKEN collet-based solutions provide vibration dampening characteristics, but the MAJOR DREAM Slim Chuck system is focused on ultimately eliminate in-process vibration.

The MAJOR DREAM Slim Chuck (MDSC) is assembled with a pre-loaded split taper cone which is forzed downwards into a recess space within the front body's disk-type springs, resulting in a vibration absorbant pre-load that absorbs any vibration transmited from the cutting edge.

Major Dream, depending on tool shank, is available in 6 sizes:

  • MDSK6 - to suit diameters 3.0mm to 6.0mm.
  • MDSK10 - to suit diameters 3.0mm to 10.0mm.
  • MDSK13 - to suit diameters 3.0mm to 13.0mm.
  • MDSK16 - to suit diameters 3.0mm to 16.0mm.
  • MDSK20 - to suit diameters 4.0mm to 20.0mm.
  • MDSK25 - to suit diameters 8.0mm to 25.4mm.
