CBN & PCD - Cubic Borum Nitrate, Policrystal Diamond Cutting Inserts

Polycrystalline diamond CBN and PCD nitrated boron inserts present a wide variety of options for high speed / low feed inserts, with excellent wear characteristics such as brazing technology, corner numbering, and multiple cutting edges to reduce costs.

CBNs are ideal for rolled cast iron and sintered materials and semi-interrupted hardened materials. PCDs have faster cutting speeds than carbide for aluminum and copper alloys thanks to the very sharp cutting edges.

- CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) / Ideal for mill-rolling, roughing cast iron, and machining sintered materials.

Varieties for CBN: B99 for high-speed cast iron machining turning, B23 for roughing cast iron and machining sintered materials, B30 for finishing cast iron, B6K-B36 for semi-interrupted cutting of hardened materials, B40 for severely interrupted cutting of hardened materials, B5K-B52 for finishing ductile cast iron.

- PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) /  For high-speed cutting of aluminum and copper alloys.

PCD provides faster cutting speeds than carbide and it is recommended for cutting aluminum and copper alloys thanks to its excellent adhesion resistance. Sharp cutting edges enable general turning and cut-off for milling cutters.
